Societas Machinarum offers XMPP-based Instant Messaging (aka "Jabber") services to people on an invite-only basis. Our server differs from those run by jabber.org in that we don't allow open registration, offer uptimes measurable in months, not minutes, and focus on reliability and security. You are welcome to request an account; you are in fact encouraged to do so if you have an account here at the Machinarum, or know someone who does.

Our IM server supports TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3, TLS auth, server-to-server communication (so you can chat up people on other Jabber networks), OMEMO, HTTP uploads and multi-user conferencing.
